Mission & History

Fort Scott Community College Foundation empowers FSCC student success through philanthropic support, aligned with key FSCC institutional initiatives.

Originally established as the Endowment Association in 1975, the Foundation functions as a non-profit, educational corporation.  From modest beginnings, the Foundation, under the direction of a board of directors, now provides significant assistance to the college in the form of scholarships.  In addition, at the request of a donor, gifts may be used for special projects.  Today, the Foundation has grown to nearly $7 million, a tribute to those who wanted to make a difference in the lives of students.

Fort Scott Community College serves over 2500 students annually and growing.  It offers over 25 degree programs and 17 professional certificate programs.  The college’s main campus is in Fort Scott, but has locations in Paola, Pittsburg and Frontenac.  For more information about Fort Scott Community College, visit www.fortscott.edu or find them on Facebook.
